Local & Global Outreach

A to Z Literacy Movement volunteers have been busy promoting the love of reading in 2024. 

Locally, we hosted three free summer school books fair in early June and July and gave over 1,100 books away. Each student was able to self-select three books to bring home. 

Globally, we shipped a carefully curated collection of fiction and nonfiction picture books to a small school in Zambia. Our next global shipment will be in October. We also partnered with Firm Foundations Romania to be think-partners in their professional learning with teachers to increase student engagement and achievement.
